  • Our SSDA Performance team consists of our recreational dancers ages 3 and up. Dancers attend class one day per week and have the opportunity to participate in community events as well as recitals.

  • Must be entering 1st grade or older and have completed at least one year of dance. Competitive dancers are required to attend class 2 days per week (depending on age and level). In addition to community and recital performances, these dancers also compete in a few competitions each year.

  • Tumble & Cheer classes focus heavily on tumbling while incorporating stretching, conditioning, and cheer fundamentals like jumps and motions.

  • This fun and energetic style of dance allows dancers to learn popular, trending dance moves all while adding in their own flare. Dancers will practice and perform to age appropriate hip hop music.

  • Any color and style leotard, sports bra, dance dresses, dance skirts, dance shorts, etc.

  • Any color and style leotard, cami/tanks, sports bra, crop tops, dance shorts or leggings, etc. Please no baggy t-shirts.

  • Dancers may wear anything comfortable to move in, such as leggings, joggers, hoodies, t-shirts, etc.  Any style sneakers…….stylish and fun! 

    • Black sparkle high top shoes - ordered through Nimbly

  • Wear any color/style leotard, dance top, dance shorts, or dance pants.  There are no required shoes for tumbling as most drills and skills are executed with bare feet. Please wear shoes that are easy to slip off and on (crocs, flip flops, etc.)

Monthly Tuition Policies

Please note our tuition prices are based upon a 35-week season, and we average your annual tuition out into 10 monthly installments. We charge for 33 weeks of classes, building in 2 extra weeks of classes for FREE! This covers any unexpected closings or inclement weather days, and therefore, no make up days are needed.

Studio South Dance Academy tuition is based on an entire season of dance. Our season runs from August 2022-May 2023. Tuition is due the first of the month and is never pro-rated for holidays. Please keep in mind, we have already factored holidays into the total cost. There is NO refund for missed classes.

You may pay the entire season in full or divide it up into 10 monthly installments. Installments are due the 1st class of each month. If the monthly installment is paid after the 10th, there will be a $10 late fee applied to your account.

Tuition varies depending on class level:

  • 45 minute ballet/tap/tumble combo (Preschool age 3 & 4) $65

  • 45 minute ballet/tap combo (PreK/K) -- $65

  • 1.25+ hours ballet/tap/jazz combo (1st grade and up)-- $85

Add-on Classes include Hip Hop & Gymnastics.  The first add-on class is $25 extra per month.  The second add-on class is $15 extra per month.

  • Tumble & Cheer only - $65

  • Hip Hop only - $60

  • Tumble & Cheer/Hip Hop combo - $120

If you pay the entire season in full prior to September 1 2024 you will receive a 5% discount on tuition. This does not apply to the recital fee or the registration fee.

We require a 30 day written notice if you need to withdraw from classes. After the 30 day notice we will terminate your monthly tuition draft.  If a full year was paid, we will refund the remaining installments minus 30%.

You will not receive a billing statement.  Please use the parent portal to view your account.

Bank draft is our preferred payment option. Tuition will be drafted August 15th and the 1st-5th of each month thereafter, September 2024-June 2025. 

*A returned draft or check incurs a $25 fee. 

*Company/competition tuition and fees will be listed in the SSDA Company Contract
