Our Classes

  • Pre-school and Kindergarten dancers take a weekly combo dance class consisting of ballet, tap and creative movement. Classes are 45 minutes.

  • For dancers 1st grade and older, we offer a weekly dance combo class consisting of ballet, tap and jazz. Classes are 1.25 hours.

  • We offer Tumble & Cheer class for children age 3 and up. This class focuses heavily on tumbling while incorporating conditioning, strength, balance and flexibility along with cheer basics like motions & jumps.

  • Pom classes incorporates jazz dance basics all while shaking your pom-poms!

What to Wear

  • Any color and style leotard, sports bra, dance dresses, dance skirts, dance shorts, etc.

    • Pink Ballet shoes

  • Any color and style leotard, cami/tanks, sports bra, crop tops, dance shorts or leggings, etc.  Please no baggy t-shirts.

  • Wear any color/style leotard, dance top, dance shorts, or dance pants.  There are no required shoes for tumbling as most drills and skills are executed with bare feet.

  • This is a dance-based class. Jazz shoes should be worn for class and performances.

    • Tan slip-on jazz shoes

Monthly Tuition Policies

Please note our tuition prices are based upon a 35-week season, and we average your annual tuition out into 10 monthly installments. We charge for 33 weeks of classes, building in 2 extra weeks of classes for FREE! This covers any unexpected closings or inclement weather days, and therefore, no make up days are needed.

Studio South Dance Academy tuition is based on an entire season of dance. Our season runs from August 2024-May 2025. Tuition is due the first of the month and is never pro-rated for holidays. Please keep in mind, we have already factored holidays into the total cost. There is NO refund for missed classes.

You may pay the entire season in full or divide it up into 10 monthly installments. Installments are due the 1st class of each month. If the monthly installment is paid after the 10th, there will be a $10 late fee applied to your account.

Tuition varies depending on class level:

  • 45 minute ballet/tap combo (PreK/K) - $65

  • 1.25+ hours ballet/tap/jazz combo (1st grade and up)- $75

  • Tumble & Cheer - $65

  • Pom PizzaZZ - $60

If you pay the entire season in full prior to September 1, 2024 you will receive a 5% discount on tuition. This does not apply to the recital fee or the registration fee.

We require a 30 day written notice if you need to withdraw from classes. After the 30 day notice we will terminate your monthly tuition draft.  If a full year was paid, we will refund the remaining installments minus 30%.

You will not receive a billing statement.
